Marinated cod
There are lots of recipes to cook marinated fish. A great variety of such recipes consists of frying pieces of fish in oil. I would like to offer you a recipe of lean fish in marinade. It gets tasty, juicy and low-fat.
Ingredients:
- Cod – 500 g,
- Carrot – 3 pc,
- Onion – 3 pc,
- Tomato paste – 2 tbsp,
- Vinegar 9% – 1 tbsp,
- Salt to your taste,
- Bay leaf – 2 pc.
Step 1
Prepare products. Wash out the fish and cut into pieces. Peel onion and carrot.
Step 2
Boil fish in salty water with bay leaf.
Step 3
Grate carrot on a big grater. Cut onion in semi-rings.
Step 4
Fry onion in oil until it gets brown.
Step 5
Add carrot and stew for 5 minutes.
Step 6
Add tomato paste.
Step 7
Sprinkle with salt, stir up well and stew for a few minutes.
Step 8
Take out from the heat and add vinegar. Mix up well and leave to cool down.
Step 9
When the fish is ready, cool it down. Separate fish fillet from bones.
Step 10
Place a layer of marinade in a deep bowl.
Step 11
Then place a layer of fish.
Step 12
Make another layers. Cover the bowl with food wrap and place in the fridge for a couple of hours.
