Salad with celery and apple


It's relatively light salad (for those who don't follow strict diet). It's good as a side-dish for meat or fish. And it's good like a salad, of course.

Ingredients:

  • Apple Granny Smith – 1 big; 
  • Celery stalks – 2 pc;
  • Cheddar cheese – 150 g;
  • Turkish yogurt – 2-3 tbsp;
  • Salt. 

Turkish yogurt (sometimes called as Greek, it's same in fact) is dense natural yogurt. You may also take usual yogurt and sieve it through gauze (the liquid flown is not needed but dense yogurt will remain in gauze). To tell the truth, I never tried this technique. 

Step 1

Peel the apple, remove seeds and grate on a big grater.

Step 2

Break the celery stalks into two halves and remove hard fibers like the skin.

Step 3

Then cut the celery into thin sticks.

Step 4

Grate the cheese on a big grater.

Step 5

Mix up all in a bowl and season with yogurt.

Step 6

Top with cheese and serve like this if you need it nice. If not, serve as it is.
