Mur Khandi – chicken stewed with spices, tomatoes and cream
This is a bright dish of the Pakistani cuisine, very simple in cooking. The main ingredients are spices giving to the dish an incredible aroma. You may buy all spices in the markets or order delivery from the Internet.
Ingredients:
- Oil – 20 ml;
- Tomatoes – 4 average pc;
- Chicken fillet – 150 g;
- Cream 33% – 300 g;
- Butter – 5 g;
- Paprika powder – 5 g;
- Cumin powder – 2 g;
- Coriander powder – 2 g;
- Garam masala – 2 g;
- Black cardamon, cloves, black pepper, jeera, coriander, bay leaf, anise – per 2 g each;
- Fresh cilantro – 5 g;
- Fresh garlic – 3-4 cloves;
- Ginger root – 15 g;
- Methi leaf – 2 g.
Step 1
Prepare ingredients.
Step 2
Cut the chicken fillet into cubes (approximately 3x3 cm), peel and finely chop tomatoes until the puree, finely chop the garlic. Coat the chicken in the garlic.
Step 3
Add the ginger root on the red-hot oil, then immediately place paprika powder and all spices except for garam-masala. Mix up and add chicken cut into pieces, fry for 5-10 minutes.
Step 4
Add tomatoes.
Step 5
Then add cream, butter and garam-masala. Stew for another 2-3 minutes.
Step 6
The dish is ready. When serving, top with finely chopped cilantro. A good side-dish will be rice, naan (scone) or chapati (scone-lavash).
