Pizzeria 22 cm

Redaktor, 26 October 2015

A small pizzeria has been open in Zhukovskogo street from the Red Steak & Wine  Restaurant owners, Andrey Peukhov and Eldar Kabirov.

The true Neapolitan pizza is made here in the oven and it took co-owners 8 months to work in one of the best pizzerias in Naples to know all tiny little details of the cooking process. 22 cm declared in the title of pizzeria is nothing else but the diameter of pizza.
Ordinary for St. Petersburg pizza is made on dry paste, while Neapolitan dough is wetter. Consisting of flour, water, salt and yeast, it’s then kneaded long and thoroughly. And it takes only one and a half minutes to bake it at very high temperature.
There are two paragraphs of pizza in the menu called the Old World and the New World. In the first case you will find classical fillings, while the second chapter addresses you to American pizza with unusual toppings. Sauces are also different: some pizzas are served with red sauce and others with white.
The menu also includes a few starters, three salads, a couple of hot courses and own-made desserts such as dessert pizza, and Angioletti pizza with caramel.

A chamber pizzeria designed in a very reserved style by Lida Shapovalova (RED. Steak & Wine) is counted only for 34 seats. At the same time the open kitchen can be seen by not only the guests but also street goers as its windows face Zhukovskogo street.
St. Petersburg, ul. Zhukovskogo, 45.
