Dishes from Calabria at La Serenata
The festival of dishes from all Italian regions goes on and this month the guests are treated with dishes from the very south of the Apennine Peninsula - Calabria.
From February 20th until March 20th Chef of La Serenata Mikhail Andreev cooks one of the fanciest dishes from restaurants at the sea port town Reggio Calabria - Octopus Carpaccio: finely sliced octopus are served with juicy leaves of Ruccola, Corn, Radicchio lettuce, ripe cherry tomatoes and red onion topped with lemon-olive seasoning (520 rubles). Another traditional dish of the Calabrian cuisine is Merluzonero. Black cod fillet baked with green and black olives in white wine sauce, ripe tomatoes, capers, onion and sweet-scented basil will just melt in the mouth (970 rubles). Mikhail Andreev offers you to try light fish soup Brodo di pesce with pieces of halibut, black cod, vegetables, sweet-scented thyme and leek (450 rubles) from the homemade cuisine of Calabrian fish men.
