Orange biscuits

Ingredients:

  • Oranges – 3 pc;
  • Walnuts – 3 pc;
  • Butter – 120 g;
  • Sugar – 100 g;
  • Cognac or orange liqueur – 1 tbsp;
  • Flour – 375 g;
  • Sugar powder for topping – 5 tbsp.

Step 1

Cut the butter into cubes at least one hour before cooking and leave for a while. It should get mild. Grate the orange zest on a small grater. Use only the orange part as the white part will be bitter.

Blend the walnuts in the blender or mincing machine.

Blend until the small particles.

Add sugar, orange zest, cognac and squeeze the juice of one orange to the mild butter.

Whip in a mixer.

Add walnuts and flour.

Stir up once again. I do it in a mixer.

Coat the baking pan with baking paper. Take approximately one table spoon of flour and make a ball. Arrange within the distance from each other.

Put into the oven pre-heated until 180 degrees for 20-25 minutes.

Keep an eye – it should bake until the light brown. When breaking it, it should have a flat color inside – this mean the biscuit is well baked.

Arrange on a plate and top with sugar powder.
