Flambé is a worldwide term but in our cooking tradition it is conversed into the verb.  The French word ‘flamber’ has a meaning ‘to flame’ which accurately reflects the idea of the cooking action. 

There is an effective technique: sprinkle the dish with alcohol and burn it. Spirit burns out very fast but leaves a new taste and aroma to the dish. Sometimes it also gives the dish a thin but crispy crust.
