The porridge has been cooked in ancient Rus’ when awarding a peace between warring parties: enemies used to gather at one table to eat porridge in sign of peace and friendship. If they failed to reach an agreement, they used to say: “You won’t cook porridge with them”. We still use this expression. In its turn, Literature Café invites to taste a special dish - wheat Peter’s porridge cooked with overseas sweet-scented oil, raw-smoked breast and hazelnut.
