Russia Absolute Champion of S.Pellegrino Cooking Cup
Sergey Berezutskiy, Chef of Kak est’ restaurant, has become the only Chef from Russia who took the first place in prestigious international competition S.Pellegrino Cooking Cup!
On the first day of the competition Sergey cooked mackerel with watermelon, crispy beetroot risotto and chechil cheese for dinner at Molino Stucky Hilton Venice Hotel. He combined tastes familiar since childhood and traditional Italian ones in this delicate dish. It’s worth marking that dish surprised the guests with both its taste and the special way of serving.
On the second day on the yacht Sergey was cooking a complex two-step course under the title “Two ways”. Behind the philosophic title are hidden langoustines with artichokes smoked in elm, zucchini and tomatoes. On the one hand, he specified the natural taste of products which did not undergo the heat treatment. On the other hand, he demonstrated how the taste of these products may change, intensify and improve with the help of oven and gas heater. Especially for this course Sergey chose wine Quintarelli Giuseppe, Bianco Secco, 2011.
