Autumn at Selfie Restaurant

The Chefs’ duet at Selfie – Vladimir Mukhin and Anatoliy Kazakov – skillfully combine Russian and European tastes in the updated menu. The salad with smoked Siberian muksun with baked potatoes and mustard sauce is addressed to patriotic guests. Duck pate is for those who have got used to greet autumn with duck terrines and rillettes as per French traditions. However, even this dish has a Russian accent at Selfie restaurant: Madeira jelly from Crimea and bread with chestnut honey from Sochi. The salad with chicken liver has also original interpretation: they dress it with fried oyster mushrooms and soaked raspberry for the autumn season  and add the flavour of lavender honey. As for farm grilled quail, it has astringent scented flavour of red bilberry on red wine.  

The autumn menu is undoubtedly rich: salad with farm veal, pike perch soup with burbot soft roes, beef cheeks with potato gratin, rural chicken with adjika, honey cake. The summer brioche with ginger peaches has been replaced with brioche with feijoa and ice-cream with a flavour of caramelized milk. The new season means new Selfie.
