Young & Green or Patch Takings at Saperavi Café Chain

This spring a special offer “Young & Green” consisting of five brightest, spiciest and most aromatic Georgian herbs has been presented to the menu of Saperavi Café Chain of contemporary Georgian cuisine.

Five spring herbs are leaders in the special menu which is valid at the restaurants beginning fr om May 1st: estragon, citsmati (cress-lettuce), garhlispotoli (beetroot top), gandzili (wild leek) and mjauna (sorrel).

Sotolia is an option for phali wh ere walnuts are replaced with matsoni. Sotolia is cooked with young sorrel and served with corn gomi (350 rubles) at Saperavi Café. Another option for combination of greens and matsoni is wild leek phalli (390 rubles). There is another classic Georgian starter in the menu called “Young & Green”: it is phali made of beetroot top and hazelnuts (350 rubles). Cooks prepare a rich salad with fresh citsmati, chicken fillet and prunes parboiled in butter (250 rubles).

Since the Georgian cuisine cannot be imagined without pastries, the special offer “Young & Green” includes a pie with beetroot top and ham (450 rubles) – it’s very rich and very fresh.
