African Mediterranean prawns are refined all-seasonal shrimps nurtured in the sea farms in Northern parts of Africa. Prawn aquaculture in Tunisia has been developing since 1967, when young prawns were brought for the first time from Japan and France. Prawns are nurtured in Bezerta lagoon near the same-name village in the most northern point of Africa. Today there are over than a dozen of prawn farms in this place.
