Second NOBU in Moscow
Nobu Restaurant opened in Crocus City Mall Trade Centre has been the second in Moscow and the 31st in the world.
Being the biggest in the chain with a large banquet hall, a wood stove and molecular desserts, Nobu Crocus City is trying to be remarkable and to deserve Moscow-dwellers' attention.
The restaurant is situated on the huge area 1200 sq. m., while two floors can accommodate only about 130 guests. A separate banquet hall is expected to open soon. It will be ready to accept up to 300 guests in the buffet format, so this ground is supposed to be very demanded among high society promoters.
A big kitchen, fancy bar stands, a posh entry area will definitely speak for the luxury class of the restaurant where an average price for dish is 1500-2000 rubles.
The French Chef Damien Duviau is responsible for the cuisine at Nobu Crocus City. And he works together with an international team: sushist from Japan Sohta Fujimori and confectioner from RSA Stewart Bell.
The menu is identical to the one in the restaurant in Dmitrovka except for the dishes from a wood stove delivered especially from Australia. In the wood stove they cook John Dory with Jalapeno sauce, sea bass with mint salsa, duck breast with orange Miso sauce, neck of amberfish, Wagyu Ribeye with Den Miso Anticucho and various vegetables.
The dessert carte will offer molecular desserts in a day or two: Pineapple Cremoso with coconut marshmallow sorbet (550 rubles), Chocolate & honey espuma with salted caramel parfait (450 rubles), Chocolate yuzu cake with sour cream ice-cream (550 rubles), Berry sphere with yogurt foam and jelly based on umeshu (400 rubles). On the one hand, 'spheres and espumas' are not so popular anymore, on the other hand, Nobu wants to treat nicely its guests who keep asking almost every day about desserts which used to be presented on one of the culinary festivals in the menu of the first restaurant.
The restaurant will be officially considered as open only in autumn after the visit of chain founders Robert De Niro and Chef Nobuyuki Matsuhisa. However, even before that moment nothing will prevent connoisseurs from enjoying wonderful food made of high-quality products.
