Chicken baked with honey and herbs
This is real perfection in terms of tastes balance. You will get tender, aromatic, slightly honey-sweet chicken. The carrot will complement this dish. I recommend to “dilute” with boiled potatoes or it might seem to be too sweet.

portions Ingredients:
- Chicken – 1 pc of 1 kg;
- Carrot – 0.5 kg;
- Honey – 2 tbsp;
- Butter – 50 g;
- Dry Provençal herbs – 1 tea spoon;
- Fresh thyme – a bunch;
- Garlic – 1 head;
- Salt, ground black pepper;
- Olive oil – 2 tbsp.
Step 1
Wash the chicken and dry it out with paper towel.
Step 2
Melt the butter. Turn it off and leave for a while to get cool.
Step 3
Meanwhile, smear the chicken with salt and pepper inside and outside.
Step 4
Wash out the carrot and thyme. Peel the carrot.
Step 5
Mix honey and dry herbs in the cool butter. Mix up well.
Step 6
Coat our chicken with our cream mixture both inside and outside. Put around pieces of carrot, cloves of garlic (unpeeled) and thyme twigs. You may put one twig of thyme inside the chicken. Sprinkle the carrot with olive oil and salt. Tie up legs with a thread.
Step 7
Put this beauty into the oven pre-heated until 190 degrees for 1 hour.
Step 8
Take it out, disjoint and serve. Or serve and disjoint.
