Turkey balls with vegetables
It is a very good recipe “two in one” – meat and a side dish. It perfectly suits for children. The combination of turkey mincemeat with potatoes and carrots grated on a small grater, make them tender and homely tasty. If you prefer a brutal option, replace turkey with beef.

Ingredients:
- Turkey mincemeat – 600 g;
- Potatoes – 5 pc;
- Carrot – 1 big;
- Onion – 1 pc;
- Egg – 1 big or 2 small;
- Salt, black ground pepper;
- Oil for frying;
- Basil – 3 twigs (20 g);
- Hot water – 1 glass;
- 20% sourcream – 500 ml;
- Adjika or tomato paste – 1-2 tea spoons.
Step 1

Peel potatoes and grate on a small grater.

Do the same with carrots.
Step 3

Finely chop the onion. If you are going to make turkey mincemeat especially for this recipe, you may mince the onion in the mincing machine together with the meat.

Mix up all vegetables in a bowl.
Step 5

Then mix in the mincemeat.
Step 6

Mix up well until the flat mass. I always mix with hands. Beat in the egg.
Step 7

Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Step 8

Heat the frying pan with the oil. Shape the balls with wet hands and put to fry.
Step 9

Fry on the average heat for 2-3 minutes from each side.
Step 10

I also fry from the widest edge for another minute.
Step 11

When they are ready, put into the saucepan and under the cover.
Step 12

While the meat balls are fried, wash out the basil.
Step 13

Separate leaves from stalks and put into the heap.
Step 14

Rolling out, cut the basil into sticks.
Step 15

After all meat balls are ready in the saucepan, pour hot water into the frying pan where they have been fried. Be careful as it will get boiled with steam immediately. Better to take away your face if you don’t want depilation of eyebrows.

Add sour cream into the water and mix up.
Step 17

Sprinkle with salt and pepper, add adjika if we cook for adults and tomato paste if we cook for children.

Then add basil.

Mix up. The sauce is ready.

Pour it on top of the meat balls. Put the saucepan on the least heat, cover it and stew for 20 minutes.
Step 21

Pour with sauce when serving.
