Pie with mackerel and spring onion
It is dedicated to mackerel-lovers. The recipe belongs to the ‘cheap and easy’ group. As a result, it is very tender and tasty. And quite fast.
Ingredients:
- Mackerel – 1 kg;
- Spring onion – 5 pc;
- Salt, pepper.
For the dough:
- Eggs – 2 pc;
- Kefir – 1 glass;
- Mayonnaise – 200 ml (1 glass);
- Soda – ½ tea spoon;
- Vinegar – approximately 1-2 tea spoon;
- Flour – 10 tbsp full.
Step 1
I had frozen fish. So, I unfroze it in the fringe at night. Wash out the fish and cut the heads. Cut alongside the stomach till backbone, take out entrails, remove black films. Take out the backbone together with other bones. In reality, it looks easier than with herring. It takes more time to describe.
Step 2
Turn down the fish, cut into two halves, cut out fins and remove the skin.
Step 3
Wash out the fillet and dry with paper towels. Be careful as unfrozen, it falls to pieces.
Step 4
Cut into pieces, put into the bowl, sprinkle with salt and pepper, stir up. Leave for a while to get marinated.
Step 5
Meanwhile, prepare the dough. Stir up eggs with kefir.
Step 6
Add mayonnaise, stir up.
Step 7
Add vinegar to extinguish soda – take soda in a tea spoon and pour carefully a thin thread of vinegar over it until soda in the spoon turns into the foam. Stir up.
Step 8
Add the flour and mix up until the flat mass.
Step 9
You will get the dough like a thick sour cream.
Step 10
Finely chop the spring onion and put it to the mackerel. Stir up.
Step 11
Pour half of the dough into the baking pan greased with oil.
Step 12
Ten put the filling on top.
Step 13
And put the second half of the dough on top of the filling.
Step 14
Put into the oven pre-heated until 180 degrees for 50 minutes or one hour. Keep an eye – it should acquire brown crust, ovens are different.
Step 15
Leave for 10 minutes after taking out of the oven and start slicing.
