New Year Salad with Seafood
It is a very tasty salad. And very nice. Search for squids definitely not peeled (those peeled industrially have ‘a plastic taste’), and excellent crabmeat sticks. Then you’ll reach the ideal taste!

portions Ingredients
- Frozen squids - 1 kg;
- Crabmeat sticks - 300 g;
- Eggs - 4 pc;
- Red caviar - 100 g;
- Mayonnaise.
Step 1
Unfreeze squids and wash the out. I used to suffer for hours peeling uncooked squids from nice violet shell which is so hard to remove… Until one Chef advised me to peel them boiled – it is 100 times easier. Boil the eggs and cool them in cold water.
Step 2
Throw squids into boiling salty water and attention please! Once they get boiled (on intense heat), we cook them for one minute sharply and switch off! Otherwise, they will be rubber. Once they cool down, wash with cold water removing the rest of shells which still remain in spite of boiling water.
Step 3
Cut squids into sticks.
Step 4
Separate the whites from yolks (which we don’t need) and cut the whites into sticks.
Step 5
Cut crabmeat sticks as well.
Step 6
Mix up all products in a bowl and season with mayonnaise. Add red caviar (leave two tea spoons for dressing).
Step 7
Dress the salad and serve to the table.
