Chicken in Teriyaki sauce
Those who like Japanese cuisine definitely know this dish. Teriyaki sauce is made of soya sauce, ginger, garlic and honey. This is another express-way to cook chicken fillet for dinner (or lunch). I buy prepared teriyaki in supermarkets. If you fail to find it, I’ll write how to make it.

portions Ingredients:
- Chicken fillet – 250 g;
- Egg – 1 pc;
- Corn starch – 2 tbsp;
- Teriyaki sauce – 6 tbsp;
- Sesame oil – 1 tbsp;
- Oil – 1 tbsp;
- Sesame – 1 tbsp.
Do the following to make teriyaki sauce: we need a piece of ginger of thumb-size, 3 tbsp honey, 2 tbsp sugar and 2 cloves of garlic. Grate ginger on a grater, press out the garlic, mix up all and strain out. If honey is thick, melt it on top of boiling water. It will be similar.
Step 1
Wash out chicken fillet and dry it with paper towel. Cut it into thin sticks. Pour 4 table spoons of teriyaki sauce into a bowl and put the chicken inside. Leave for 20-30 minutes at room temperature.
Step 2
When the time is up, beat the egg into a bowl and stir it with a fork.
Step 3
Add starch and mix up well until balls disappear.
Step 4
Heat a frying pan with both oils on average heat.
Step 5
Put chicken from teriyaki sauce (removing extra sauce) to the bowl with egg and starch.
Step 6
Mix up all well.
Step 7
Put slices of chicken one by one on a frying pan within a distance from each other – I do it with pincers – otherwise, they will get attached to each other.
Step 8
Fry for 1 minute from one side and then turn over and fry for another minute.
Step 9
Then pour teriyaki sauce left in the bowl into the frying pan and add another two table spoons.
Step 10
Mix up and fry for another minute. Keep an eye – as soon as the sauce starts getting think and caramelized, it’s ready.
Step 11
I serve this dish with rice in Japanese style – with egg. I cook rice in a frying pan (the recipe is available on the website) and once it is ready, I pour the beaten egg into it and mix up well.
Step 12
You may serve it just with vegetables. Top with sesame.
Bon appetite!
