Strawberry-peach crumble
Crumble is a fancy European trend with understandable reasons. It’s very tasty. We take any berries and fruits, put them into the baking pan and top with four crumbs adding oat flakes and nuts. Then we bake it and voilà – the wonderful summer dessert is ready without any special ado!

portions Ingredients:
- Strawberries – 500 g;
- Peaches – 4 pc;
- Lemon – 1 pc;
- Corn starch – 1.5 table spoon;
- Sugar – 1/2 glass;
- Cognac or liqueur – 1 tbsp.
For crumbs:
- Flour – 2/3 glass;
- Small oat flakes – 2/3 glass;
- Nuts (I had almonds) – ½ glass;
- Sugar – 1/4 glass;
- Salt – a pinch;
- Butter – 125 g.
Step 1
Remove hulls from strawberries and cut into quarters.
Step 2
Halve peaches, remove the seed and cut into pieces.
Step 3
Put the fruits into a bowl. Squeeze the lemon and mix up.
Step 4
Add starch, sugar and pour cognac.
Step 5
Mix up again, put over to the baking pan again and make it flat.
Step 6
Add all ingredients into the food processor. If you happen not to have it, feel free to do everything manually in the bowl but you have to ground the nuts, for instance, using a rolling pin. You will need to grate dry ingredients with butter until the crumbs.
Step 7
So, cut the butter into cubes. It should be directly from the fridge.
Step 8
Put it to the food processor as well.
Step 9
Make the crumbs in the pulse mode. It doesn’t take much time! Stop immediately as soon as the mass starts getting into clumps just like on the picture. Getting mild, the butter will start converting crumbs into the paste.
Step 10
Top our fruits in the baking pan with the crumbs.
Step 11
Put into the oven pre-heated until 200 degrees for 30 minutes. Serve warm with ice-cream. It is amazing even cold.
Bon appetite!
