Melon & raspberry jam
It is dedicated to those who like sweets. It’s incredibly tasty jam with an interesting texture. Tender cubes of melon are accompanied with raspberry syrup. It is happiness, isn’t it? For instance, I am thinking how to keep it until frosts…

portions Ingredients:
- Melon – 1 kg;
- Raspberry – 1 kg;
- Sugar – 650 g;
- Filtered water – 1.5 glass;
- Lemon – 1 pc.
Step 1
Wash out the melon.
Step 2
Place raspberry into salty water (1 tea spoon for 1 litre of water) for 2 minutes to make small insects come out. Take them out from the surface if any. Then wash out raspberry well in cold water. Do it not under running water but plunge into water.
Step 3
Pour water into thick-bottom saucepan, get it boil and add sugar. Mix up sugar until dilution. The syrup is ready.
Step 4
Halve the melon, remove seeds and skin.
Step 5
Cut into cubes. I needed only half a melon.
Step 6
Squeeze lemon juice and sprinkle cubes of melon.
Step 7
Place melon into the syrup and make it boil.
Step 8
Cook for half an hour on low heat, remove the foam.
Step 9
Then add raspberry.
Step 10
Get it boil again and cook until it gets thick. It took me about 20 minutes.
Step 11
Pour out hot jam over sterilized cans.
Step 12
Keep in a fridge if using not sterilized cans.
