There is an XVIII century building that reminds a fragment of a tower or a castle with its small towers which is called “Birdhouse” at the bank of a Big pond of Ekaterininskiy park in Tsarskoye selo. Though now this building is known under some other name. Here there is a cozy restaurant Admiralteistvo. Restaurant hall, where you can get climbing a winding staircase that leads to the second floor, is decorated in marine style. You can enjoy a wonderful view of the pond and the park looking through the windows. The restaurant is famous for its cuisine. In the menu you can find original cold starters and a wide range of main courses. Where else can you try sweet pancakes with prunes, walnuts and cream filling or hot pancakes with ice-cream? Nevertheless, this restaurant is famous especially for its celebrations with original entertainment programmes. There is a real Russian outdoor fete with horse-riding (in winter – on sledges, in summer – in carriages) with fireworks and an unforgettable picnic on the island where guests are taken by ferry.
