Gastroteka Piggy

Redaktor, 22 June 2015

The owner of King Pong, Bonch coffee house and Testo pizzeria Mikhail Georgievskiy opened a chamber gastroteka Piggy on Ligovskiy prospect with various, not boring menu, aged wine and moderate stylish interior.

Piggy is open five days a week from early lunchtime but it is expected to work seven days a week soon. The funny memorable name “Piggy” is related to the menu as it includes quite a lot of meat positions. The compound menu has a big paragraph with hot courses such as homemade pasta, burgers, scones baked here by the chef, steaks, fish and meat positions. As the project manager says, when working out the menu, they were trying to offer courses with interesting notes per affordable prices, not haute cuisine but tasty dishes cooked with heart. In the kitchen they mostly use local products bought in local markets.

The bar card mostly includes whisky and other strong alcohol. As for wines, there are positions performing both the Old and the New World with a small overcharge. As for beer, there is mainly craft beer both draught and bottled, including production from Petersburg breweries. Cocktails are mixed mainly classical ones such as Negroni, Old Fashion, New York Sour.

As for coffee, only freshly roasted coffee beans are used to prepare a drink which is traditional for the restaurants belonging to Mr. Georgievskiy, while a special attention is given to the quality.
