Restaurant Nikola Tesla
July, 10 was the opening night of the first Moscow restaurant–bar of the original Serbian cuisine “Nikola Tesla”. The restaurant is situated in the centre of the city and occupies the building of Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry in 38, Sharikopodshipnikovskaya street, building 1, just a five- minute walk fr om metro station “Dubrovka”. It is the first and the one of a kind restaurant in the capital.
In spite of the restaurant’s high rank, everyone is welcome here and the prices are reasonably democratic. For example, business lunch, compiled of author’s dishes, doesn’t cost a pretty penny and helps to pass away working days. Except for traditional Serbian snacks you will be offered home wines and unique desserts which you can’t find in any other menu in the city – and these are not just words. The fact is all the chefs of “Nikola Tesla” were born in Serbia – this is the principle position of the restaurant. And professionals, like no other, know and keep the secrets of national cuisine, revealing them in their dishes.
On the opening there were presented the main dishes of the restaurant prepared by Bojan Bochvarov – a famous Serbian chef with work experience in prominent restaurants of the world. Among the dishes was veal with estragon and white wine dressing. When preparing, the chef uses the technology of low-temperature cooking treatment. Baked lamb in milk, duck breast dressed with saffron and orange sauce with leek croquettes, gourmet pljeskavica, “minster-style” chicken with wasabi salad, endive and apples. Bojan shared these and many other recipes with guests.
Bojan Bocvarov holds the position of the managing director in the restaurant “TORO Latin GastroBar” in Belgrad and resides in the cooking show “Titova kuhinja’ on Belgrad television. In January, 2013 he started the restaurant “Ambar” in Washington, in March, 2014 – the restaurant “TORO” in Hong Kong, since December, 2013 he is the brand-chef of the restaurant “Nikola Tesla” in Moscow.
During the first night special attention was paid to the bar with its original cocktail list. The creation of the list, by words of Marko Strbac, the winner of “Beefeater 24 GBC”, was based on the two main principles: the author cuisine of the restaurant and the wishes of visitors, who are sophisticated in food and beverages. Marko presented the guests with exclusive cocktails during the evening. And still there was an interesting program with pleasant surprises ahead.
A piece of sunny and tasty Serbia has appeared in Moscow and it was named after the great scientist Nikola Tesla. You may ask, ‘Why Tesla?’ Firstly, the physicist was born in Serbia. Secondly, the organizers of the restaurant have been inspired by experiments of their famous compatriot, decided to perform their own test and combine cuisine and science. What is the result and if there is a result – it is only for you to decide. And, thirdly, here you can taste dishes, which were served for Tesla. By the way, it is not a coincidence that the official opening of the restaurant was held on July, 10. Exactly 158 years ago the prominent scientist was born.
According to the guests’ comments, the restaurant-bar “Nikola Tesla” proved to be the place both stylish and gastronomic wh ere home coziness and elements of the modern design in the interior combine perfectly well with the original cuisine.
In short, here you can meet business partners, relax with the family or spend a romantic evening to the accompaniment of dishes with national character.
So, you are welcome! We are waiting for you right now!
