The Genatsvale Restaurant settled down in Ostozhenka 8 years ago and for these years it has attained the fame of the most popular Georgian restaurant in Moscow. It has everything that should be in the best restaurant: a mansion in the city centre, a hospitable ambiance of sunny Georgia and certainly, food. It is excellent.
All familiar dishes of the Georgian cuisine are accepted in a special way here. Red or green lobio, eggplants and peppers with nuts, satsivi, adjapsandali, matsoni – it's hard to choose even an appetizer, isn't it? You will want everything. However, it's only a start. What kind of Georgian meal is without pastries? Here you will find khachauri, chebureki, lavash and achma. All is juicy, hot, just from the oven. Hot courses are also ready: kharcho, chicken chakhokhbili, boiled and fried khinkali.
A list of barbecues is so huge that it takes the whole page in the menu. There is lamb kebab on the bone, veal brisket, lamb, pork, chicken or vegetables kebabs. However, the most popular is a special course Fonar (Lantern): it is a pyramid of different kebabs served with a flourish by waiters under the music of national songs.
Speaking about the music, Genatsvale is full of it. Performances take place every evening after 7 pm in the hall. The space for it is more than enough: two big halls of the restaurant easily accommodate big groups of guests. The first (main) hall is slightly wider: it has high ceilings and massive dark-wood furniture. The second hall situated inside the mansion has more chamber ambiance. This area is often used for small banquets or meetings of friends. Soft lightening, nice curtains on the windows, New Year Tree decorations on New Year holidays – all creates a real homely ambiance.
Guarded parking can be an obvious advantage of Genatsvale. For the lively centre of Moscow this is very important.
Live music is played at the restaurant from Tuesday to Sunday.
