Restaurant Genatsvale VIP
A picturesque Georgian courtyard all in grapevine, windows of a village house behind a wicker fence, a small murmuring brook, and an evening southern sky above the head. Sheaves of onions and ripe yellow pumpkins on the walls, multi-coloured churchkhela under the ceiling, and jars with home compote carefully prepared in hot summer for the restaurant guests on the shelves.
The two floors of the well-known Georgian restaurant in Ostozhenka Street house five picturesque rooms (two of them are for non-smokers). A southern courtyard under «the open sky», a spacious sitting room of an ancient house, a picturesque wine cellar with massive stone walls… Choosing a table in this picturesque restaurant is like an amazing tour of many-sided, picturesque Georgia. A wooden bridge, a heavy stone staircase and an ancient pavement imperceptibly draw you away fr om your routine problems and the city noise into a quiet, generous country wh ere it is warm and cosy, and guests are always welcome.
They offer fantastic meals. Mouth-watering lobio, flavoursome satsivi, steaming hot khachapuri with a teasing aroma of hot cheese and butter, fresh vegetables and fresh herbs, dense rich soups, and a huge choice of shashlik skewers. The «Shashlik Pyramid» with its extraordinarily effective serving enjoys especial popularity. They bring in a huge dish carrying candles in the hands and accompanied with special music and dance.
At the «Genatsvale», they strictly observe ancient traditions of hospitality and are able not only to treat generously, but also to entertain the guests. Two plasma screens show sports events, retro programmes, films and musical videos. In the evenings, you can enjoy pop songs, retro songs, folklore polyphony and energetic folk dances.
