Well known, Catherine II preferred singing art, pompous upper class events and gastronomic latest things of different countries. During her reign she was so impressed by the Chinese opera and culture, she ordered to build a Chinese theatre which was named Stone Opera at the territory of Tsarskoe Selo as soon as possible. At the theatre’s stage the tours of Chinese circus were success with its circus art, Shaolin kung fu, operas combining music, dance, drama and martial art, theatrical exotic shows. They are much to be said about and it is possible to see all this with one’s own eyes and taste master pieces of European and Asian cuisine in the Empress Hall.
Original design of the interior is created in the unique combination of light appearance, various materials and textures: objects, handmade furniture, natural stones, unique species of wood, vases and crystal pendants – all this resembles a Chinese box, a lot of details which draw attention of the most demanding people.
The Empress Hall is an ideal place for banquets, cocktail dinners, exhibitions, presentations, parties, promotion events and after party up to 400 persons. The central banquet hall, the Grand Hall is provided with a large stage equipped with a big screen and projector, karaoke Evolution, leader among the professional karaoke systems, modern entertainment system. It stands to mention large plasma panels located on perimeter of the hall, they broadcast the stage performing to all the screens. That’s why it is possible to sing, listen to music and watch shows at any point of the Grand Hall. It is well appended to 10 Karaoke Rooms with capacity fr om 10 to 100 persons where guests can celebrate anniversaries, weddings, hold a party and sing favourite songs in a company of friends.
Gastronomic magicians from China and Japan work at the Empress Hall kitchen to organize the most outstanding events. All dishes are cooked as quickly as possible, they don’t lose their useful properties and are served according to the traditions of Eastern Asia. Best dishes of the Celestial Empire are at your attention – duck breast in spices with addition of Chinese rice vodka, traditional Beijing duck, veal and pepper in a pine-apple bowl, dimsams stuffed with shrimps and meat, a wide choice of meat dishes and sea delicacies.
Victor Khlopov, the chef, looks after the taste harmony and variety of dishes of the European cuisine. He gave a chance to enjoy cuisine master pieces of the Empire’s table: sturgeon steamed with Empire’s sauce or tuna and spinach, asparagus and ceps in cream sauce. It is recommended to taste Stolichny salad with crab meat, traut a la Moskva dressed with béchamel and Kupez potatoes fried with beef loin and sweet pepper. Delicate juicy duck breast Magret with orange sauce in combination with a glass of red wine and a friendly toast will leave you the most pleasant emotions and memories.
A wide choice of alcohol from Japan and China is presented apart from traditional spirits: Chinese sake which is stronger than its Japanese variant and Japanese red, yellow, green and strawberry wines.
Serving of black, green, white and flower teas will leave unforgettable memories of the evening spent in the Empress Hall – this is a unique show that makes guests witness an amazing performance with lazy and long-winded smoke of orange, lemon and mint hookahs with a top of fresh fruit.
You are welcome daily from 5 pm to 5 am. We will release you from troubles of party organizing and do our best to make you our regular guests so that other important events of your life will be held in the Empress Hall.
