Avlabar is the name of an old district in Tbilisi. It can be translated as the quarter behind the city’s walls. Someone says, that was Avlabar that Tbilisi’s history started, someone thinks it to be a quarter of the intellectuals… Nowadays the district appeals the tourists with its old temples and beautiful palaces. Lately Moscow has got its own Avlabar – that’s the name of a small and cozy restaurant near Avtozavodskaya metro station.
Those who appreciate good food and low-key atmosphere will like the restaurant. Interiors of the Avlabar have charm for communication and slow meals. The style of the design can be defined as understated retro, but, at the same time, interesting retro details are next to original paintings, stylish brickwork and bright stained glass.
