If the Duma Club were a big and pathos establishment with huge windows, we could have started describing it with the words we have known since childhood - 'Red Square is seen through our window'. However, this is not about the Duma at all. Thank God there is no gigantomania despite the neighbouring Kremlin and a big name 'stolen' from the grey building of the State Duma – it feels like home. It is peaceful and relaxed around it despite 'the very centre'. The one who finds the way here will at once understand that the place is good for living. However, you would not be allowed to live in those secluded Moscow lanes as all the buildings are occupied by universities and offices. The Duma is the only living place in the city centre. There are no casual guests and no one breaks that carefully created atmosphere of good humour. If you lose your way, just call – the restaurant staff already know such landmarks as 'near the iron gates' or 'under some canopy', so they will meet you and lead by the hand.

This is the place where you go with your friends to talk sitting in comfortable sofas, to have a delicious meal, to see a film, to dance, to sing with the favourite band as if you were at a 'kvartirnik' (a concert in a flat)… There are so many things you can do at the Duma. You can even do nothing. When did you play board games last? Here they have backgammon and chess, monopoly, sea battle and Czech 'Don't Get Angry, Man'. Wi-Fi for web-addicts and a mini-cinema for film fans. Regular visitors have understood that there is no need to see a new DVD at home, when neighbours start knocking at the radiators at 10 pm and the offspring starts crying at the most exciting moment. People bring 'their' films to the Duma, and there are much more free seats in front of the big screen. Have you ever seen silent films with a pianist? Not on TV, but with a live piano? You can do it at the Duma!

The bar is a menu of most incredible cocktails – both traditional ones and funny inventions of local barmen. Everyone who approaches the bar stand is involved in the 'brain storms'. There can be no nonsense in your glass – like sophisticated psychologists, the Duma barmen will make up a 100% delicious composition of various ingredients. On Saturdays the bar turns into a disco bar when the barmen mix not only drinks but also discs in the CD changer. Also with great taste!

A 'hat' costume party at the bar stand, a nostalgic Play Station in the sitting room, flirting in the fireplace chamber, 'Mafia' in the restaurant and backgammon on the summer veranda – this is what makes up the cosy eclectics of The Duma.

The cuisine is mixed – from traditional Russian snacks to Mediterranean salad, from Caesar to an author's salad… with noodles!

The seasonal menu from Chef varies with public interests and 'home' tastes. This season, for example, it includes various omelettes: with vegetables, mushrooms and chicken liver, Mediterranean carpaccio with scallop, tuna, grapefruit, orange and rucola. Try fresh veal on rib with author's sauce, quails with cranberry honey sauce with sweet pear in red wine and parmesan, or seabass with seaweed sauce. Your birthday falls on a weekday? Do not wait until weekend, but invite your friends here – besides that special atmosphere, you get a 20% discount on everything!

The programme of Duma DJs is a nice mix of retro and funk, rock-n-roll and disco. There are concerts of famous bands with home acoustics – everything here is 'for the sake of people' not against them. And you remain in high spirits for a long time.

Before presenting their creation to the world, the Duma founders had trodden all antique shops and flea markets in Moscow and found old things of rather high artistic value. Paintings, mirrors, rare old photos and books… And here are the skis – almost legendary 'Karpaty-74'. The display changes every month. Many exhibits are gifts from those who are in love with the place. You can even ask them to sell something to you – as a souvenir. A bouquet of reminiscences – homey gatherings are sweeter than pompous receptions.

 

 

The Duma Club is designed for 200 people at buffets and 100 people at banquets. Social parties and homey gatherings for good friends, New Year and corporate parties, company anniversaries and birthdays – we develop, agree and implement most joyful celebrations in the city – perhaps, the most joyful.

The restaurant zone with graceful laying, incredible dragon-flies under the ceiling and a stained-glass door into the main hall is perfect for meetings and corporate dinners of company executives. (24 people, banquet)
